Any students wishing to enroll into an Honors, Pre-AP or AP course will be required to obtain a teacher recommendation from the previous year’s subject level teacher. Each student will then be placed on a four (4) week observation period to qualify that the student has been placed in a course that best fits the student. Three (3) additional points will also be added to the end semester grade.

Students served in Oklahoma’s Alternative Education programs are at-risk for high school failure for a variety of reasons which may include academic deficiency, behavior difficulties, excessive absences, pregnancy or parenting, adjustment problems, or juvenile justice involvement. Alternative Education programs are specifically tailored to meet the needs of students who may be struggling with poverty, substance abuse, family dysfunction, or psychological or physical trauma.
Beginning in the 2002-2003 school year, all school districts of this Oklahoma shall provide Alternative Education programs that conform to the requirements of statutes and rules applicable to alternative education.
Grade 9: Completion of eighth grade requirements
Grade 10: Five (5) credits must be earned in ninth grade before a student can be classified as a sophomore.
Grade 11: Eleven (11) credits must be completed before a student can be classified as a Junior.
Grade 12: Seventeen (17) credits must be completed before a student can be classified as a senior.
Graduation: 23 credits earned
